CIRCULARITY

Povilenas approaches circularity as a design principle, not a finish line. We believe clothing should be created with its full lifecycle in mind from the first sketch to years of wear, care, repair, and eventual reintegration.

Our focus is on making garments that remain useful for longer, hold their value over time, and move through more than one phase of life. That means prioritizing thoughtful construction, durable materials, and details that support repair, alteration, and continued use.

We work with a short and transparent supply chain, giving us greater control over sourcing, production, and quality. By collaborating with local artisans, seamstresses, and European manufacturers, we can make better decisions at each stage and reduce unnecessary complexity in the process.

Circularity also shapes how we think about materials. We source carefully, favor certified and high-quality textiles where possible, and look for ways to keep fabric in circulation rather than treating it as disposable. Surplus fabric and leftover garments from previous collections are reworked into new pieces whenever possible, helping us reduce waste and extend the life of existing resources.

We see limited production as part of circular design. Small runs allow us to stay closer to demand, avoid overproduction, and create pieces with stronger long-term relevance. This approach supports a more disciplined business model where value is built into the product itself, not added through volume.

Circularity for us is also about responsibility after purchase. Clothing should not end its life after one season, one owner, or one trend cycle. It should be made to be repaired, re-worn, re-styled, and, where possible, transformed into something new.

As the industry moves toward more structured circular systems, we are building with longevity, traceability, and recovery in mind. That includes a mindset shaped by durability, repairability, and material intelligence because true circularity starts long before a garment leaves the atelier.
